The Tour of Idaho (TID). The first step in a 1600+ mile adventure.
Let the work begin. I've been craving an adventure for a long time and have realized that it's time to make it happen. I have an amazing and supportive wife who deserves more praise than I can give and I thank her for understanding and loving me for who I am. I'm planning on documenting my preparations and thoughts so I can remember myself and have something to share with others. ...and so it begins...

This is an interesting article. It is a widespread misconception that a good cross country or all-mountain bike must have around 6" or less rear suspension. Technology and bike design is changing the market. Don't believe me? Read up.

This is one Sick Build. Very light too!! There is a lot of good in sights and build ideas in this. If you want a light-weight bike like this, open up your wallet and get a second mortgage.

Tire Liners
Check this out. One more way to beat the system. Tyvek is used in many applications, one of which is envelopes. It also happens to be very puncture resistant and works well as a tire liner.
